BMET
Biomedical Equipment Technician Training (BMET) is typically an electro mechanical training, which ensures that medical equipment’s is well maintained, properly configured and safely functional.
DBEE
This course is based on the job required to perform by the Biomedical Equipment Technicians at different levels of hospitals and nursing homes in Nepal. Therefore, this curriculum is designed to provide knowledge and skills focusing on Biomedical Equipment Engineering related to the occupation..
NBA
NBA was established in the year 2020 A.D This organization was mainly established with the aim of professional growth and betterment of the BMET and DBEE working in the Hospitals(Government, Private),Medical Suppliers and other Medical-related Fields.

NBA was established in the year 2020 A.D This organization was mainly established with the aim of professional growth and betterment of the BMET and DBEE working in the Hospitals(Government, Private),Medical Suppliers and other Medical-related Fields.
What we dream?
Mission
On going through the history, with the emerging use of new technology medical devices, the need of the Biomedical Technician in the Health Care System was felt by our Late Dr. Upendra Devkota. So, the idea of creating Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) curriculum where Prof. Sam Topham also supported the idea. In the co-ordination of Er. Bhabi Prasad Gurung further program of giving training about Biomedical Equipment for the students having ISC or +2 Science background. This training continued up to 8th batch . After that it was changed into academic course, now known as Diploma in Biomedical Equipment Engineering(DBEE),with the co-ordination with CTEVT. It is now successfully running DBEE 6th batch. People have a misconception that BMET & DBEE is just a training but it is actually an academic curriculum that is officially recognized by the CTEVT. And the mere fact , DBEE is an advanced and better-improvised version of the curriculum of BMET.
how we formed?
Background
This organization was established under the leadership of our very First President, Mr. Shyam Sundar Halwai with the support of 12 committee members, and has done various works from its establishment to till date. This Organization was born just before the pandemic had hit our nation. So, NBA got the opportunity to help to fight the pandemic by helping in repairing life saving equipment (like Ventilators, CPAP) with the help of our biomedical professionals. Beside this, this organization is fully supportive for the rights of the members of this organization, like right for the education, and other fundamental rights that are necessary for providing the nourishing environment for the biomedical workers , so that the health care system can provide better health services.

Challenges
Despite of being crucial part of health care system, Biomedical professionals are always the heroes behind the curtain, till date people don’t know that biomedical professional do exists, so individuals that are working as BMET and DBEE are deprived of various rights, facilities and supports .Therefore, feeling the need that there must be any organization which can amplify the voice of Biomedical Professional, Nepal Biomedical Association was established. It assures that the voice of the BMET and DBEE doesn’t go unheard, and NBA is always ready to provide the support and affection for the professional growth, upgrade, enhance and facilitate and work for the rights of the BMET and DBEE working all over the Nepal.
This organization will always run its program for the betterment of the health care system and will broaden its work in upcoming days.
